Hot Topics and Lunch with

Business Woman of the Year Recipients

Lorraine Bergman, Angela Creedon

The Tempe Chamber is featuring the two most recent recipients of the prestigious Business Woman of the Year award at this special luncheon.

The award was established to recognize an outstanding business woman who has achieved excellence in her field, displayed leadership in the community, served as a positive role model, and is active in programs within the community and Tempe Chamber. The two women will share stories of their success and teach attendees how to achieve similar results in their personal and business lives.

Lorraine Bergman is President and CEO of Caliente Construction. She has led her company to achieve 30- to 60-percent growth in three consecutive years, maintaining revenues and employees by implementing a diversification strategy. She is a founding member of Advancing Women in Construction and is a graduate of both the Gilbert and Tempe Leadership programs. She helped found the East Valley Branch of Fresh Start, which assists women who have been impacted by a traumatic event or whose lives are in transition.

Angela Creedon is the Community Development Manager for APS serving the East Valley. Her responsibilities include building and managing key governmental relations with elected officials and community leaders while monitoring, tracking and interpreting city issues as they relate to APS. She has been honored with many awards including the Athena Award, Spirit of United Way Award, YMCA Excellence in Leadership Award and the American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year.
