The Tempe Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 2009 State of the Schools Address on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Tempe, 4400 S. Rural Rd. Registration will open at 11:00 a.m.
Each year this event provides a chance for the public to meet with a panel of educators to learn the condition of the Valley’s educational institutions and determine how the community can assist in strengthening them. The State of the Schools Address consistently provides participants with new tools, ideas and methods for working with the educational community in a mutually beneficial manner.
This year’s panel will feature:
Dr. Arthur Tate - Tempe Elementary School District Superintendent
Dr. David Schauer - Kyrene School District Superintendent
Steve Adolph - Tempe Union High School District Superintendent
Dr. Maria Harper-Marinick - Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Maricopa Community College District
Mike Matwick - Founder/CEO of Pinnacle Education
Dr. James Rund - VP for University Student Initiatives at ASU
The event will consist of a panel discussion on the top issues concerning the educational community moderated by Margaret Garcia-Dugan, Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction with the Arizona Department of Education.
Tickets are $35 each for members, $45 for prospective members or $450 for a VIP table of ten. To secure a table of ten please call (480) 967-7891.
